Thanks for stopping by! For as long as I can remember, not a day goes by that I haven't enjoyed telling or listening to a good story. Stories are what define us—they make us human, they keep us present and help us learn. That’s why I feel so fortunate to do what I love as a freelance writer and continue to tell stories and inform readers in a variety of formats.
My Background: Over the past two decades, I’ve written hundreds and hundreds of stories in the form of nonfiction articles and content marketing pieces. I’ve also written six books: The Dog Lover’s Companion to Philadelphia; Philadelphia: A Photographic Portrait; Bayada: 40 Years of Compassion, Excellence and Reliability. I'm co-author of my newest book: Growing Friendships: A Kids’ Guide to Making and Keeping Friends, as well as co-author of the American Red Cross: Dog First Aid and American Red Cross Cat First Aid books.
Plus, I'm experienced working on the other side of the computer screen: as an editor of articles, video content and books. I also work as an editorial coach/consultant. And I recently earned my five-course specialist certificate in Content Strategy from Northwestern University.
Why Work with Me: I’m an accomplished writer and editor with more than 20 years’ experience. That means I know how to reliably deliver accurate, engaging content on time and within budget. I am well versed in journalism as well as writing and editing content marketing pieces. I'm also flexible, have a healthy sense of humor and love to laugh. Why I Love What I Do: I love writing, period. But I especially enjoy writing profiles of people and organizations, and I believe my enthusiasm comes through in my writing where the tone is friendly, informative and down-to-earth. Some of my favorite topics include pets, health/medicine, amazing accomplishments of people with disabilities, the great city of Philadelphia, as well as children and families.
